Veteran actor and filmmaker Anupam Kher, ahead of the release of his film Tanvi The Great, has voiced his views on the ongoing Punjabi film Sardaar Ji 3 controversy involving Diljit Dosanjh and Pakistani actor Hania Aamir.

In a recent interview, Anupam Kher stated that while Diljit has every right to make artistic choices, he personally would not involve himself with Pakistani collaborators due to national sentiments. “It's his right, and he should be allowed to use it. But I wouldn’t do the same,” Kher said.

Drawing a metaphor, Kher explained, “If someone slapped my father but played music well, I couldn’t invite him to perform in my home. That’s not me. I can't watch my sister’s sindoor wiped away for the sake of art. I’m not that great.”

Diljit has faced backlash since news broke that Pakistani actress Hania Aamir stars in Sardaar Ji 3, a film he also co-produced.
