Punjabi singer and actress Baani Sandhu, who stars alongside Dev Kharoud in the upcoming film Dakuaan Da Munda 3, spoke candidly to Connect Media Network about the personal code she follows in the entertainment industry.

Known for her bold persona, Sandhu said she draws a clear line between her professional and personal life. “I don’t like mingling too much with people from the industry. I don’t attend parties or hangouts. I’ve drawn a firm line for myself, and I expect others to respect it.”

She admitted her reserved nature is often misunderstood. “Some call me rude or arrogant because I keep to myself, but that’s fine. I believe in working with ethics, and I want that to be respected by everyone I associate with.”

Sandhu also reflected on how the struggles of fellow Punjabi artist Sunanda Sharma prompted her to think deeply about industry pressures. “It made me question who to trust and who not to,” she said, noting that the Punjabi music and film industry often requires artists to learn harsh lessons about loyalty.

Her comments highlight a broader debate about professional boundaries and women’s roles in Punjabi cinema. For audiences in Surrey and across Canada, Sandhu’s stance resonates with young artists who see her as a role model balancing career success with personal integrity.
