Music breaking cultural barriers is nothing new — and when it comes to Diljit Dosanjh, it’s almost expected. The Ludhiana-born artist has long been more than just a singer or actor. From sold-out arenas across Toronto, Surrey, Winnipeg, and Sydney to global chart-topping albums, Diljit has become a symbol of how Punjabi identity can thrive on the world stage — unapologetically rooted, yet universally resonant.

Now, he’s taken that journey a step further, lending his voice to one of India’s most spiritually immersive cinematic universes — Kantara Chapter 1. Directed by and starring Rishab Shetty, and backed by Hombale Films, the upcoming film is not just a movie; it’s a celebration of cultural mythology and divine connection. And with Diljit on the soundtrack, that connection deepens across regions, languages, and faiths.

The collaboration was teased with a powerful poster showing Diljit and Rishab together a North-South union that felt more like destiny than marketing. Sharing his thoughts on social media, Diljit revealed a deeply personal bond with the Kantara story. He recalled watching the first film in theatres and being moved to tears by the song “Varaha Roopam” a composition by B. Ajaneesh Loknath that, in his words, “touched the soul.” That very composer now returns for Chapter 1, and Diljit couldn’t be more aligned with the project — musically and spiritually.

What makes this moment so significant isn’t just the collaboration it’s what it represents. Diljit, known for his deep connection to Sikh spirituality and Punjabi folk tradition, now steps into a world built on the spiritual roots of Karnataka. Yet, instead of contrast, there's harmony. It’s a reminder that faith, music, and storytelling aren’t bound by geography. Whether it's a Sufi tune from Punjab or a Daiva dance from coastal Karnataka, they’re speaking the same sacred language.

For the global Punjabi community from truck stops in Surrey, Brampton to gurdwaras in California this moment feels personal. Diljit’s voice in Kantara isn’t just a feature; it’s a statement. It says: we belong here. Our stories, our voices, our spirituality they are part of India’s broader narrative, and now the world’s.

From Ludhiana to the limelight, from village stages to international cinema, Diljit Dosanjh continues to build bridges — with rhythm, with heart, and with spirit. In Kantara Chapter 1, he doesn’t just sing, he transcends region, language, and genre. Says Jitendra Kumar Resul, ""I’ve been a fan of Diljit for years, and seeing him live at Dil-Luminati in Vancouver was unforgettable. Coming from Hyderabad and now living in Surrey for the past nine years, I can already tell this collaboration with a South Indian film like Kantara is going to be a blast. I’m genuinely excited to see how Diljit brings his own spiritual and musical energy into that world it’s going to be something special."

Kerala High Court Reserves Verdict on Release of The Kerala Story 2

A division bench of the Kerala High Court set aside its decision for later on the appeal filed by the producer of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond. The appeal challenges a single judge’s interim directive that temporarily halted the film’s theatrical release. The movie had been slated to premiere on February 27. The bench reviewed whether the single judge was justified in suspending the release for 15 days even though the film had already secured certification. During arguments, the judges noted that the objections raised against the certification resembled a public interest litigation an
