Mumbai Police have uncovered an alleged fake extortion conspiracy targeting Bollywood actor Salman Khan. According to the investigation, the accused allegedly created fake WhatsApp chats and a false identity in the name of a gangster group in an attempt to extort money from the actor.

Police reportedly noticed inconsistencies between the accused’s claims and CCTV footage. Following intense questioning, the accused allegedly admitted to fabricating the entire story.

During questioning, the accused revealed that fake WhatsApp conversations had been created using electronic devices. He allegedly portrayed himself as a member of a gangster group with the intention of intimidating people and making the extortion threat appear genuine.

Police are continuing to investigate the electronic evidence and other details connected to the alleged conspiracy.
