The Punjabi music industry is currently buzzing with the ongoing controversy involving singer and actress Sunanda Sharma and music producer Pinky Dhaliwal. As legal proceedings continue, several prominent Punjabi celebrities have come forward to express their support for the singer.

Himanshi Khurrana took to her Instagram stories to share her own experience, writing, “I went through something similar in 2017. I used to cry and beg, asking them not to ruin my work. I was out of work and money for seven months. My mom saw me and couldn’t understand what I was going through. I fought silently, and now I can understand and feel what Sunanda is experiencing. Mind games are being played, and sadly, this is a story that many artists in Punjab can relate to. But now, almost every artist is standing up for themselves, and I fully support my dear friend @sunanda_ss #wesupportsunandasharma.”

Along with Himanshi, legendary singer Amar Noorie also voiced her support for Sunanda. Singer Kambi shared a post on Instagram addressing the issue, offering additional strength to Sunanda. While it’s not new for artists to be bound by music producers or large production houses, this is the first time a Punjabi celebrity has openly spoken out about such matters. How this situation unfolds remains to be seen.
