Karishma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sanjay Kapur dies of heat attack

Sunjay Kapur, chairman of automotive components giant Sona Comstar and former husband of actress Karisma Kapoor, passed away at the age of 53. According to reports, Kapur suffered a fatal heart attack while participating in a polo match in England. Business consultant Suhel Seth, who confirmed the news to ANI, stated that Kapur may have accidentally swallowed a bee during the game, which could have triggered severe irritation leading to the cardiac event.

At the time of his passing, Kapur was married to entrepreneur and former model Priya Sachdev.
“Deeply saddened at the passing of @sunjaykapur: he passed away earlier today in England: a terrible loss and deepest condolences to his family and to his colleague,” Suhel Seth wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Kapur had previously been married to Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor. The couple wed in 2003 in a widely publicized ceremony, but their marriage ended in divorce in 2016. They have two children together—daughter Samaira and son Kiaan.
