Comedian Zakir Khan is gearing up to make his return to Netflix with a new stand-up special titled Papa Yaar. The announcement was made by the streaming giant through a video shared on its official Instagram account on Sunday, offering fans a glimpse of the project ahead of its release.

The teaser showcased an intimate exchange between Khan and his father, Ustad Ismail Khan, hinting at the personal and emotional themes that will feature in the special. Accompanying the clip was a caption that read, “Papa’s big day is almost here. Catch Zakir Khan’s Papa Yaar, arriving soon exclusively on Netflix.” The comedian later shared the post with his followers, generating excitement among fans.

The upcoming release follows the successful conclusion of Khan’s Papa Yaar live tour, which began in June 2025 and travelled to multiple cities. The tour wrapped up with a grand finale in Mumbai, where audiences were treated to a surprise appearance by veteran entertainer Johny Lever.
