An arrest warrant has been issued against former Finance Minister of Punjab Manpreet Singh Badal.

The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Bathinda Daljit Kaur has issued an arrest warrant against BJP leader and former state minister Manpreet Singh Badal, in which the Vigilance Department has been asked to arrest and produce Manpreet Singh Badal.

The vigilance department raided Sri Muktsar Sahib's residence in Badal village yesterday.

A lookout circular was issued in view of the possibility of Manpreet Singh Badal fleeing abroad.

After this, an alert was issued at all airports.

For the unversed, the Vigilance Bureau has registered a case of fraud against Manpreet Badal in the land allotment case.

Badal is accused of conspiring to buy two plots in Model Town Bathinda at a low price.

Three accused have been arrested in this case.

It is being told that the government has suffered a financial loss of around 65 lakh rupees.
