Congress appointed Charanjit Channi and Mukesh Agnihotri as observers for the Jammu and Kashmir elections

Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi and Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri have been appointed by the Congress party as senior observers of the All India Congress Committee for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections with immediate effect.

It is to be noted that the elections are being held in three phases in Jammu and Kashmir. Voting will be held in 24 seats in the first phase on Wednesday, followed by voting in 26 seats in the second phase on September 25. Voting for 40 seats in the third phase will be held on October 1 and the results will be declared on October 8.
