A late-night shooting at a park in Surrey's Whalley neighbourhood is under investigation, although no injuries or property damage have been reported.

According to the Surrey Police Service (SPS), the incident occurred at approximately 12:10 a.m. at Robertson Drive Park near 127 Street and 92 Avenue.

A witness told police that a large crowd gathered at the park quickly dispersed after gunshots were heard.

SPS confirmed that officers located evidence of a shooting at the scene. However, no suspects have been identified, and investigators have not determined a possible motive.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has video footage, dashcam recordings, or any information that could assist the investigation to contact the Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502.
