The counting of Lok Sabha elections has started. Simranjit Singh Mann of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar from Sangrur seat is the current Member of Parliament, who re-entered Parliament after defeating Aam Aadmi Party in the by-election in 2022.

In the first trends of this time's election results, Aam Aadmi Party candidate Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair is leading. The current MP Simranjit Singh Mann is running at number two and Congress candidate Sukhpal Khaira is running at number three.

Sidhu Moosewala's third death anniversary

Today was the third death anniversary of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moosewala. He was shot dead in Jawaharke village of Mansa on the evening of May 29, 2022. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, one of the stalwart leaders of the Shiromani Akali Dal, has passed away. He was 89 years old.
