This will be PM Modi's first visit to the US since Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President on January 20, 2017.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the US from February 12 to 13 and will also meet President Donald Trump during this time. PM Modi's visit comes after the US deported illegal Indian immigrants in handcuffs and shackles.

His visit to the US was confirmed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Friday. This will be PM Modi's first visit to the US since Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President on January 20, 2017.

Modi will visit the US following his trip to France from February 10 to 12, where he will participate in the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will also attend this summit. Trudeau will go on a five-day visit to Paris and Brussels starting Saturday.
