On the statement made by Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who is contesting from Sangrur Lok Sabha seat of Punjab, that the migrant workers should be thrown out of the state, the leaders of his party have opposed it. Pratap Singh Bajwa said that if Khaira has given any such statement, then it is Khaira's own view, there is no view of the party in it.

Earlier, Punjab Congress president Raja Waring also separated the party from Khaira's statement and said that all the immigrants coming from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and other states are our own brother. agree with and neither agree with such an ideology that migrant workers should not get any place in Punjab.
