There has been an uproar over BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa's claim about Sri Rakabganj Sahib Gurudwara. In a public meeting, Sirsa had said that Gurudwara Sri Rakabganj Sahib was built by demolishing a mosque.

He claimed that this matter is also recorded in the manuscript of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and many other books.

Former President of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Manjit Singh G. K. And Paramjit Singh Sarna has written a letter to Akal Takht Sahib for action against Sirsa in this case.
