Shiromani Akali Dal leaders may face increased difficulties. Rebel leaders of the Shiromani Akali Dal have decided to meet Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib in the next one or two days to ensure the strict implementation of the order issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib on December 2, 2024.

Reports suggest that these leaders held a meeting at the house of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa on Tuesday, where former Shiromani Committee president Bibi Jagir Kaur, Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, and several other leaders were present.

During the meeting, the leaders expressed concern that the Akali Dal leadership is running its own membership campaign instead of initiating the party membership drive under the supervision of the seven-member committee formed by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

It was decided that this issue would be brought to the attention of the Jathedar Sahib of Sri Akal Takht Sahib in writing.
