Sukhpal Singh Khaira, the Congress candidate from the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab, has attacked the Shiromani Akali and the Aam Aadmi Party for not getting justice for the insults. Khaira said that the Badals who call themselves Panthak Party and the Aam Aadmi Party leaders Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann have always stabbed the Sikhs in the back by politics in the name of blasphemy, Behbal Kalan shootings and the release of Bandi Singhs.

He said that due to their nefarious conspiracies, our Bandi Singhs are still behind the bars and these people have not been able to catch those who insulted Guru Sahib, nor have they been able to get justice for the Behbal Kalan shooting incident.

It is to be noted that in 2015, the image of Guru Granth Sahib was stolen from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala of Faridkot village. After its members met at Bargari village, sit-ins were held at Kotakpura and Behbal Kalan, where the police opened fire. In this shooting incident, 2 people died and many were injured.
