DGP of Punjab Police Gaurav Yadav has made surprising revelations by filing an affidavit during the hearing in the Punjab-Haryana High Court in the case of jail interview of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

The DGP has admitted that after Lawrence's interview, the series of extortion and threats from Punjab jails has increased. Shiromani Akali Dal's senior leader Bikram Majithia has questioned Bhagwant Mann regarding the Lawrence case.

Majithia said that no action was taken by the government against the SSP, and any other officer posted at the time of Lawrence's interview with the CIA staff of Kharar. He said that it is clear from this that Bhagwant Mann himself is protecting the gangsters.

2nd batch of 119 Indian deportees to land in Amritsar on Saturday

A special flight from the United States carrying 119 deported Indian nationals is expected to arrive at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar on Saturday.
