Williams Lake RCMP officers are investigating after responding to a fatal incident involving an ATV which claimed the life of a 17-year-old youth.

Just after midnight on August 7, 2022, Williams Lake RCMP attended to the gravel area at the end of Gun a Noot trail after being requested to assist with a ATV rollover. Officers attended the scene where paramedics and fire rescue personnel were providing medical assistance.

The youth was transported to hospital where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.

Initial evidence gathered at the scene showed that the youth was not wearing a helmet.

Williams Lake RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are continuing to investigate the incident.

Woman Arrested After Two Assaults in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside

A woman has been arrested in connection with two consecutive assaults in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. Monday near East Hastings Street and Princess Avenue. Motorcyclist Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Langley

A tragic incident occurred in Langley on Tuesday night, where a motorcyclist was killed in a crash. Police said it was a single-vehicle crash, with no other vehicle involved. Langley RCMP said first responders were called to the 20500 block of 16 Avenue at around 10:15 p.m. Sgt. Zanel Sharoum said officers made every effort to save the victim, but the motorcyclist died at the scene. Sharoum said an investigation is underway to determine how the crash occurred.
