A commercial building in Toronto’s North Etobicoke area was targeted in a shooting early Tuesday morning, police said.

The incident occurred at around 4:20 a.m. in a commercial plaza near Humber College Boulevard and Highway 27. Patrol officers in the area reportedly heard gunshots and immediately began investigating.

Officers found evidence of gunfire at the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the shooting.

According to police, the suspects fled the area immediately after the shooting in a black vehicle. Toronto police have not released a description of the suspects at this time.

The motive behind the shooting remains unknown, and investigators have not provided further details.

Police are appealing to anyone with information about the incident, including anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the shooting, to come forward.
