ਲੈਂਗਲੀ 'ਚ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਜਤਾਇਆ ਦੁੱਖ; ਜਾਣੋ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸ ਨੇ ਕੀ ਕਿਹਾ

ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜਸਟਿਨ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈਂਗਲੀ 'ਚ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਖੌਫਨਾਕ ਵਾਰਦਾਤ 'ਤੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਘਟਨਾ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਹਿਮੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬੀਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਟਰੂਡੋ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਖਮੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਰਿਕਵਰੀ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀਸ 'ਚ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।

ਯਾਦ ਰਹੇ ਟਰੂਡੋ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੀ.ਸੀ. ਗਰੀਨ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਲੀਡਰ ਸੋਨੀਆ ਫਰਸਟੇਨੂੰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਲੈਂਗਲੀ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਪ੍ਰੀਮਿਅਰ ਜੌਨ ਹੌਰਗਨ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਲੈਂਗਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਟਾਊਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਆਫ ਲੈਂਗਲੀ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੂਟਿੰਗ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਦੁੱਖ ਜਾਹਿਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਬੇਵਕੂਫੀ ਭਰੀ ਹਿੰਸਾ ਚਿੰਤਾਜਨਕ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਜੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।

I’m horrified by the news that came out of Langley, BC yesterday. My heart breaks for the victims’ loved ones and communities, and my thoughts are with the people who were injured – we’re wishing you a speedy recovery. This violence has no place in any of our communities.

We’ve seen the discourse around homelessness in BC veer into fear mongering and the dehumanizing of some of our most vulnerable.

Words matter - as legislators we need to talk about public safety in a way that makes everyone safer and strengthens communities. To ensure that what we do lifts all British Columbians up and leaves nobody behind.
