Amritpal is contesting elections to free himself, not the fight of captive Sikhs: Sukhbir Singh Badal

Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has targeted Amritpal Singh, who is in Dibrugarh Jail. Badal, who reached various constituencies for campaigning in favor of the candidate Virsa Singh Valtoha from Khadur Sahib, said that Amritpal was contesting the election not to fight the captive Sikhs but to free himself.

He said that the person who used to say that he does not believe in the Indian Constitution has now started believing in the Constitution to fight the elections. Badal said that where was Amritpal a year ago, he said that he suddenly created all the drama.

Sukhbir Badal further targeted Amritpal and said that one who could not bear the heat of jail for one year will lead the panth, while former Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal served 16 years in jail.
